Good evening to all!
It has been couple of days since my last post, but a lot has not changed with me. I am doing well, eating just fine after being switched over to a new dog food. I am a quiet sleeper, secure in my crate next to the bed. Rothko is the same way, though his crate is the size of the Playboy mansion!
Dolly and Phoenix sleep with Robert or in another bedroom. It has been pretty warm here so the windows are open and the fans are a twirlin'.
Robert has been doing lots of yard work; mowing, weed whacking, moving piles of manure and fixing equipment as it breaks down. The other day it was one of the four weed whackers which got fixed today. The lawn tractor has been misbehaving and needs a valve adjustment; possibly more.
Our visiting duck, who appears on schedule like clockwork, has a name. It is FAD. This is a G-rated blog and I cannot tell you what it stands for; use your imagination. He comes in the morning and evening. Robert had to put up some protection for the budding asparagus; FAD likes to walk through the asparagus bed on his way to the horse pasture.
The horses are on Robert's S**t list; they decided to run through the electric tape fence while it was off so Robert could consolidate the manure pile. There are several broken fence poles; always something....
Nancy is due home tomorrow from the VCNC Specialty dog show. Gracie will be here so there will be one more vizsla in the mix.
The mother owl has been busy sitting on her nest in the owl box and she and her mate are busy hunting every night. I am not sure what is going on; I cannot hear the babies but they certainly should have been hatched by now. I will have to get the big ladder out and take a peek; just don't want mom charging out of the box with talons exposed ready to attack me 15' up in the air! It is bad enough when the chicks get all pissy and hissy when I look in; but they are defenseless; all talk and no bite!
That is about it for me; wish I had more to share about myself (and less about Robert).
If you want a sweet loving dog, great with kids and devoted to humans, think about me. Yes, I know I am a mixed breed, but I had nothing to do with that! Give Cooter a chance!
Peace, brothers and sisters...
